Physician's Surgical Hospital, Physician and Business Development Coordinator

Job Summary: 
The primary role of the Physician and Business Development Coordinator is to recruit and place new physician providers and to develop and maintain strong relationships with targeted referral sources with the objective to drive incremental volume in services lines aligned with PSH business plan.  This individual serves as the primary physician recruiter and the organization’s liaison, representing the hospital, clinical service lines and medical staff to all internal and external providers. 

The Physician and Business Development Coordinator will have a strong understanding of PSH brand position, its competitive differentiators and the clinical and operational infrastructure that facilitates and supports physician interactions. 

Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a business, marketing or healthcare focus
Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration preferred       


Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
A minimum of three (3) years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in healthcare
Skills and experience in fostering credible relationships with prospects that result in effectively meeting their needs and meeting sales goals
Clinical experience – a plus
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including economic and political influences and dynamics
Requires time out of the office traveling to offices within a defined geographic area
Ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple activities and respond in a timely manner to numerous requests
Possess creative thinking skills to navigate complicated situations with a strong ability to problem solve
Willingness to accommodate physicians’ schedules, which may occasionally fall outside of standard office hours
