Pharmacy Tech Certified PRN

Schedule: PRN Relief

Job Summary:
  A successful candidate will support the pharmacists within the limits and guidelines of pharmacy service at BSA, including but not limited to accurately pulling and delivering medication to nursing floors and automatic dispensing machines. Candidate will be required to communicate with co-workers and healthcare providers. Proper training will be provided to ensure the technician is capable to perform these duties. Further, more extensive training will be provided as skill levels increase and additional job functions are added.

  Education/Licenses/Certifications: 
  High School Diploma or equivalent required
  Registered as a technician or technician trainee with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  and PTCB certified   or able to become certified within one year of employment at BSA or within the guidelines of TSBP, whichever comes first

  Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
  Must have good communication skills, have a positive attitude, be attentive to details
  ability to accurately solve basic math problems including ration/proportions
  Basic computer skills are required
  Must be willing to take direction while demonstrating initiative in dealing with co-workers and other hospital staff
  Demonstrate strong customer service skills related to promptness, courtesy, teamwork, completion of job requirements and problem-solving
  Handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately
  Commitment to ongoing educational requirements and continuous improvement of work-related skills and knowledge
