Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Shift: Day
Schedule: Full - Time Regular

  Job Summary: 

  Assists Surgeon with providing care in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment. 

  Education/Licenses/Certifications :
  Current Certification from State of Texas for Nurse Practitioner –or-  PA License from the Texas Medical Board
S uccessful completion of an accredited school for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant 
  Current BLS certification
  Current ACLS certification 

  Previous surgical experience in delivering exceptional patient care and customer service
  Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way
  Good positive, customer focused interpersonal and business telephone skills   
  Strong communication skills include: strong English verbal skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and healthcare professionals at all levels, legible writing skills and penmanship in English language
  Demonstrates strong leadership skills
Mu st be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing situations
  Must be able to quickly evaluate and assess patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plan.
  Ability to deal with employees, patients, physicians and visitors in stressful situations
M ust be well versed in HIPAA laws and keep patient documentation and information confidential
  Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
  Must be willing to work as part of a cohesive medical team to care for patients and deliver exceptional customer service
