Job Summary:
Applies knowledge and ingenuity to develop solutions and design systems whileconsidering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, andcost. Provides network engineering services for projects and maintains andoptimizes the data network infrastructure. Includes, updating networkdocumentation, conducting utilization studies and the establishment of fault notificationprocedures. Coordinates the configuration, installation and the generaltroubleshooting of network hardware and possibly software. Provides remotesupport for facilities throughout the organization. This position will workclosely with other members of the BSA information services team to support theoverall mission of the company and its long-term strategic businessinitiatives.


  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Copmputer Science or similar fieldor equivalent technical training
  • Current applicable CCNA (Routing and Switching, Data Center, Wireless)preferred
  • Current applicable CCNP (Routing and Switching, Data Center, Wireless)preferred


  • Fiveyears’ experience in Information Technology and Systems required
  • Experience in a 24/7 mission critical environment, healthcare preferred
  • Experience managing a Cisco-based network, including routing, switching, and wireless
  • Experience in the operation and analysis of LAN and WAN packet captures, andNetwork Analysis
  • Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of advanced wireless networks including RF spectrum analysis andinterference remediation
  • Experience designing and maintaining a copper (Base-T) and fiber cable plant
  • Knowledge of modern network infrastructures, including Ethernet, MPLS, EIGRP,OSPF, and BPG networks
  • Knowledge of modern switch infrastructures PVST/MST, Port Channel configuration,Dot1.Q Trunking, VTP, QOS/COS
  • Knowledge of Cisco data center technologies including Nexus vPC, FEX
  • Knowledge of enterprise security and monitoring with firewalls, IPS, andSNMP/Syslog
  • Experience with managing DNS, DHCP, and WINS protocols
  • Experience managing VPNs
  • Experience scripting for systems administration
  • Experience with certificate services (X.509) a plus
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (RADIUS, TACACS, LDAP) a plus
  • Experience of systems management and monitoring a plus
  • Experience with Intel system virtualization a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows server class operating systems a plus
  • Knowledge of Linux server class operating systems a plus
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
