Harrington Cancer Center is a department within the BSA Health System and has provided care for oncology patients throughout the Texas Panhandle for 30 years. Harrington Cancer Center sees over 100 patients a day and sees all patients of all ages.

Job Summary:

Mammography technologist will provide patient services using various imaging modalities, which may include stereotactic and breast MRI. Mammographers are expected to perform screening and diagnostic procedures in a fast pace environment. Need to exercise critical thinking skills, be able to troubleshoot, and be able to manage stress. Must be able to work well with others and have effective communication skills. Technologists follow the direction of Breast Center Radiologist and established procedures/protocols. Shifts are spent with extensive time on their feet and standing. When performing exams, technologist must adhere to all radiation safety precautions. Technologist must be available to complete exams at the main facility (HBC), detached facilities and outreach settings. Technologist is responsible for their quality of images, positioning skills, and the basic knowledge of quality control tests.

Licenses and Certifications:

ARRT Certification in Radiological Technology

Mammography certification preferred

Texas Department of Health License

CPR by American Red Cross or American Heart Association


One year experience in digital screening mammography

6 Month Bone Density

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Associate Degree or Certificate from CAHEA approved Radiological Technology Program
