IT Desktop Technician, FT Days

Shift: Day
Schedule: Full - Time Regular

  Job Summary:
Support end-user devices  (PCs, Scanners, Printers, Mobile devices, Carts & Etc) in a clinical environment.  Perform break/fix and maintenance activity either remotely or at the end-user’s location. Configure and deploy new end-user equipment. Participate in and support projects that impact end-user equipment.  Recognize the impact of the job functions of the business, the affect to patient care and adjust focus accordingly.          
  Manage assigned tickets within established SLAs. 
  Provide desktop expertise and support on assigned projects. 
  Handle support calls from end users related to desktop issues. 
  Support other IT departments associated to end-user equipment as required. 
  Document issue resolutions to improve peers’ ability to resolve similar problems in the future. 
  Track and document time associated to specific projects and daily functions.

  Education/Licenses/Certifications: 
  Desired-Associates’ degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
  Desired –A+, Network+, MCDST or comparable MCP certification.

  Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a desktop support role or equivalent in a large corporate environment.
  Experience in a medical environment a plus.
  Must have excellent customer support skills.
  Must have good communication skills - both oral and written.
  Must display the ability to be a team player and work well with employees at all levels.
  Must have good troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

  Upholds information services department polices.
  Upholds all corporate policies.
  Hardware knowledge and experience in installing and replacing computer peripherals. 
  Working knowledge of, and PC hardware, network printers, Microsoft XP / Windows 7, Microsoft Office, Servers, Exchange, Active Directory, Ethernet TCP/IP networks, WINS, DNS and DHCP. 
  Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple deadlines. 
  Ability to exceed in a dynamic work environment. Ability to travel to customer locations as needed.
Comfortable working in a medical environment
  Must be able to lift items that are approximately 50 Lbs. 
  Must be willing to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation schedule – 1 week per month. 
  Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle that will used to transport equipment to customer site as needed.  
This position is added to our driver’s list, for insurance purposes candidate must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record.
