HRIS & Compensation Analyst

  Job Summary:
  The HRIS and Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing and maintaining systems in support of the Human Resources administration. Provides analytical information in support of compensation analysis and projects. Coordinates and performs a variety of HRIS activities related to reporting and workforce analytics.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Maintains an understanding of HRIS and related systems and processes in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of Compensation processes and procedures, and ensure all required policies and procedures are developed, documented, and reviewed periodically.
  • Prepare special statistical demographic reports and workforce analytics for internal and institutional HR reporting and planning as it relates to compensation, benefits, leave, EEO, workforce, planning, and other special internal studies and using enterprise software, excel integrated systems.
  • Perform ad hoc compensation analysis as requested using internal and external salary statistics to recommend, develop and implement appropriate employee compensation structures, configure pay grades, evaluate job titles and ongoing reclassification.
  • Analyze data between multiple systems to ensure data integrity; able to effectively convey information in legible reports to HR and Executive teams.
  • Participates in salary surveys. Researches alternative survey sources to ensure the organization maintains a quality survey library in order to determine an organization’s market competitiveness.
  • Performs annual market analysis of positions to determine the competitiveness of salary ranges. Performs market analysis of positions as needed between scheduled reviews.
  • Review proposals for new or revised job descriptions to determine appropriate salary grade assignment and FLSA status.
  • Completes complex compensation projects including annual compensation plan costing.
  • Works with others to analyze compensation-related issues, develop a course of action, complete research, and present recommendations to the manager.
  • Prepares written communications, policies, and procedures related to compensation, as needed.
  • Maintains the Job Description Library.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Two years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Compensation and HRIS experience preferred
  • Bachelor Degree required
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or CCP preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all department levels
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and good judgment
