  Job Summary:
  The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing care rendered to patients. The RN assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, directing, supervising, evaluating direct and indirect nursing care, and identifying outcomes for patients in the gastroenterology setting.

  Current Texas RN license
  CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  ACLS and BLS certified
  PALS within 6-months of hire

  Previous RN acute care staff nursing med-surg or GI Lab experience   required
  Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
  Pre and post procedure assessment and care
  Procedural skills to include moderate sedation and assisting physicians with GI procedures
  Organized, self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills
  Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  Computer skills necessary; EMR and EPIC documentation
  Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions
  Clear and effective communication with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare professionals
  Compassionate customer service skills with a commitment to patient and family satisfaction
