Family Medicine Physician

Schedule: Full - Time Regular

Job Summary:
  Provide care for patients who present to Urgent Care for acute illnesses including orthopedic injuries, potential surgical issues, as well as routine acute illness. Must be able and comfortable treating patients ranging in age from 3 months to 100 years of age. Must be able to treat and diagnosis patients presenting with multiple medical problems.  Works closely with staff to provide excellent care in a timely manner.

  Education/Licenses/Certifications :
  Current Board Certified/Board Eligible—State of Texas Medical Board
  Current BLS certification
  Current ACLS certification
  Preference will be given to individuals with previous similar clinic experience


  Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way.           
  Strong communication skills including:  Fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately, a bility to read and understand English language,  Bilingual, s trong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers and healthcare professionals at all levels
  Legible writing skills and penmanship in English language
  Ability to work with patients ranging in age from Infants to Geriatrics in an Urgent Care Setting.
  Able to work long shifts of approx 12-13 hours in length.
  Ability to work in Electronic Health Record
  Good organizational and follow-through skills
  Demonstrates strong leadership skills
  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing situations
  Must be able to quickly evaluate and assess patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plan.
  Ability to deal with employees, patients, physicians and visitors in stressful situations
  Must be well versed in HIPAA laws and keep patient documentation and information confidential
  Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
  Ability to function in an occasionally hostile environment with patients/customers who are ill or hurt
  Must be willing to work as part of a cohesive medical team to care for patients and deliver exceptional customer service
