The Critical Care Nurse Residency Program (CCRP) is an exceptionally structured program with phenomenal learning opportunities focused on building Critical Care Nurses who truly excel in the clinically challenging setting of Critical Care.

  The Registered Nurse is accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

Education/Licensures/Certifications:
  Current Texas RN license
  CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  ACLS within 6-months of hire required

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• 1 year RN acute care/hospital experience preferred
• Previous medical-surgical staff nursing experience desired 
• Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
• Able to manage 2 to 3 critical care patients on and off a ventilator; flex up and down depending on acuity
• Critical thinking skills
• Organized, able to prioritize
• Self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills
• Computer skills necessary; EMR Epic documentation
• Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions
• Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Compassionate customer service skills
• Committed to patient and family satisfaction
