The DiningCenter of BSA Health System offers eight food stations serving Mexican, Asian,American food and much more. The Dining Center hours are 6am 10:15am forbreakfast and 11am 11pm for lunch and dinner. The Dining Center is open everyday including holidays and weekends. The Dining Center serves patients, familymembers, employees, guests and all customers.

JobSummary:
Prepares food according to dailyproduction sheets. Follows department sanitation guidelines. Uses kitchenequipment. Follows standarized recipes. Any other duties: as required.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Texas driver’s license

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Two years priorrestaurant/institutional food services batch cooking experience preferred
Knowledge of foodpreparation/handling and principles of sanitation
Hiring preference may be given tothose with institutional cooking/culinary background
Must exhibit desire to exemplify theBSA Culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision, and the BSA Way
Position requires fluency in Englishlanguage to function in job environment appropriately
Must be able to perform simplemathematical calculations
Good verbal, leadership,organizational and follow through skills
Ability to accurately follow recipesfor batch cooking and spreadsheets
Operation of major institutionalkitchen equipment including but not limited to broiler, large mixer, convectionovens, gas stove tops, grill tops, electronic fryolators, conventional ovens,multiple steamers, large and small steam kettles, tilt skillets, meat slicerand measuring scales. Use of thermometer.
