  Unit Description:
BSA is hiring a full time position for an Audiologist in Amarillo, Texas at Panhandle Ear, Nose and Throat Associates. Panhandle ENT is an affiliate of BSA Health Systems in Amarillo, TX. We have 4 physicians treating patients of all ages. Our audiology department is currently staffed with 2 full time audiologists.

 

  Job Summary:
  Performs audiological evaluations, patient education and counseling, manages hearing aid fittings and evaluations, ENG and ABR testing.  Assist in clinic operations including registering patients, obtaining benefits, greeting and assisting customers, answering business telephone calls, receive patient payments and schedule patient appointments, maintaining the filing system and handling a wide variety of duties, as needed.  

  Licenses and Certifications :
Masters, AuD or PhD in Audiology
Texas State License/Clinical Certificate of Competency in Audiology
Will consider 4th year Students with an Intern License in Audiology for State of Texas

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way.
  Good positive, customer focused interpersonal and business telephone skills    
  Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
  Good organizational and follow-through skills
  Keyboard data entry skills and working knowledge of computers and basic office equipment
  Beginning level of experience with computers in Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing situations
  Must be able to quickly evaluate and prioritize requests of staff and physicians
  Ability to deal with employees, patients, physicians and visitors in stressful situations
  Must be well versed in HIPAA laws and keep patient documentation and information confidential
  Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
  Ability to function in an occasionally hostile environment with patients/customers who are ill or hurt
  Must be willing to work as part of a cohesive medical team to care for patients and deliver exceptional customer service
